The Technical Protocols on the Control of Seed-borne Diseases of Cereal Crops Get Approved

December 6, 2020, the technical protocol series on the control of seed-borne diseases of cereal crops passed the evaluation of experts panel and report to Hebei Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision for approval, release and implementation as Hebei provincial standards.

The protocols are initiated by Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences and drafted by the Institute of Millet. The implementation of these standards will better regulate the control of 7 common cereal crops seed-borne diseases such as foxtail millet downy mildew, millet nematode, ustilago crameri, maize head smut, wheat loose smut, sorghum smut and broomcorn millet head smut, which is of great importance for protecting environment, improving grain quality and ensuring output.
