November 20, 2020, the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Qingxian County, Cangzhou City organized 130 people of greenhouse fruit and vegetable growers and technicians to the Institute of Coastal Agriculture for on-site training and field observing. The activities were performed at the institute’s demonstration base of high efficiency utilization technology for heavy saline and alkaline land, on the companion of the institute leaders, managing persons of the demonstration base and staffs of Tianxu Ecological Agriculture Co. Ltd.

The trainees visited the demonstration fields of greenhouse strawberry, peach, Ficus carica and tomato grown on original saline-alkali soil as well as the brackish water utilization technologies. Prof. Zhang Guoxin explained the key technologies and answered the questions on the concern of the participants. This training not only presented the institute’s research achievements, but improved the trainees’ professional qualities and further expended the influences of the institute.
